Hailed as the vegetable of the year, the humble cauliflower is no longer just a bland side dish but a hero staple that transcends most dietary preferences, from vegan to paleo and now into our morning smoothie...

 

Creamy Hemp, Vanilla, Berry & Cauliflower  Smoothie

This creamy sugar-free smoothie is an awesome way to start the day. Frozen cauliflower acts as a great smoothie base, typically reserved for bananas.

Serves 2

In a blender add:

1 handful of frozen cauliflower florets

1/2 cup frozen blueberries (can also use fresh)

30g (2 -3 scoops) Nutra Organics  vanilla Thriving Protein

1/2 cup milk of choice (we used Rebel Kitchen Mylk)

1/4 cup or 2-3 big tablespoons of coconut yoghurt. (optional)

1/2 tsp cold-pressed hemp oil

 

Blend all ingredients together for 2-3 minutes or until all the ingredients are completely smooth. (As much as we love cauliflower, chunks throughout the smoothie isn't quite for us)

Serve as is, or add fresh berries, coconut chips or cacao nibs for extra texture.
