Why is Chia good for me?

Chia Ground Seed was developed in response to the growing number of consumers adding chia to smoothies, soups and porridges.

Chia Ground Seed contains the same nutritional profile as whole chia seeds.

Chia is the highest plant-based source of omega-3, fibre and protein. The protein in chia contains all nine essential amino acids, making it a ‘complete’ protein. This is incredibly rare for a plant based source of protein, and makes chia particularly beneficial for vegetarians and vegans. Amino acids are the building blocks of our bodies, and are essential for healthy muscles, hair, skin and nails.

Omega-3 ALA is a valuable nutrient for heart function and overall health and vitality, while chia’s high levels of both soluble and insoluble fibre can aid digestion and can help you feel fuller for longer.

We recommend one tablespoon (15g) of chia, every day. Sprinkle onto your muesli or cereals, into your salads or smoothies, or add to your baking.

Chia is the highest combined plant based source of omega 3, fibre and protein.
One tablespoon of chia will provide you with 3g of omega 3 ALA and 6g of dietary fibre, along with a range of other important vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
