Our Top 7 Valentine’s Day ideas

We rounded up some of our fav from around the web
The thing that surprised us the most was the consensus seems to be that the cliche “it’s the thought that counts” holds true.
Read on to see what we mean:

Idea 1 Scavenger hunt
One of the best Valentine’s Day gifts I’ve experienced was when my boyfriend put together a little scavenger hunt around our apartment. Each stop had a note about something he appreciated about me (And maybe some Pana Chocolate’s). It wasn’t extravagant, but it was so thoughtful, and it completely melted my heart.

Idea 2 Heart felt message in a bottle
One Valentine’s my Husband wrote a very personal card about how he feels about me. He doesn’t often express himself like this so having him open up and put his heart on the line meant a lot to me.

Idea 3 Shared moments are forever
My favourite gifts are always experiences we can do together. In general, I feel that when you've been together for so long, the best gift you can give your partner is your time. This one was a little more special than others. My partner booked reservations for a specialty cooking class at a local shop to make a special Valentine's dinner appetizer, main course, dessert, and drinks. (Add a sleep friendly hot chocolate from NU Harvest)

Idea 4 A gift that keeps on giving
One year I made a DIY date coupon book my partner could redeem for different dates whenever they wanted.

Idea 5 First flowers ever?
For many men, the only flowers they will ever receive will be at their funeral. Give the gift of flowers as it’s actually really cute and most men never get them in their life, so it hits way harder than people think.

Idea 6 An upgrade he didn’t know he needed
Something he already uses but could do with an upgrade like a wallet that is falling apart has always been my go to gift idea (or the premium plastic-free Albatross Razor and blades kit)

Idea 7 Turn a moment into art
My favourite gift ever was when my Husband commissioned a portrait from an artist I loved. You can find someone you like on either Etsy or Reddit or even DM an artist on their IG page. There are a range of options and styles from watercolours to sketches to oil paintings to comic book style to choose from.
